Activities of Daily Living

Caregivers are trained to assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as:

  • Bathing

    Assist with the individual's hygiene tasks, bathing, which can include showering, tub baths, or sponge baths, ensuring their safety and comfort while providing the necessary support due to physical limitations or disabilities.

  • Companionship and Support

    Companionship and Support is about providing social interaction and emotional encouragement to reduce loneliness.

  • Transportation - Errands/ Appointments

    One of the primary responsibilities is to provide transportation to and from medical appointments, therapy sessions, or any other necessary engagements. This includes ensuring the individual arrives on time, assisting with check-in processes, and waiting during the appointment if needed. Caregivers can handle a variety of errands the individual might need. This can include grocery shopping, pharmacy pickups.

  • Light Housekeeping

    Light housekeeping is a set of routine tasks that keep a home neat and orderly.

  • Side By Side Assistance

    Side by side assistance refers to a support system where a caregiver actively works alongside someone, providing real-time guidance and support, essentially being physically present to assist with a task or activity.

  • Meal preparation

    This involves developing a weekly or monthly meal plan that includes a detailed list of recipes, ingredients, and cooking schedules. By planning meals, caregivers can ensure that they have all the necessary ingredients on hand, reducing the stress of last-minute grocery shopping or meal decisions.

  • Medication Reminders

    Our caregivers remind your loved one to take their medications at the correct time. This ensures that their medication has been taken correctly and that there are no double doses or skipped medications.

  • Dressing

    Caregivers assist with selecting and putting on their clothes.

  • Toileting

    Toileting involves helping individuals safely and respectfully manage bathroom needs and hygiene.
